This tour is conducted by Scan adventure. In the North, the weather conditions constantly change. Therefore you may experience extraordinary moments throughout the day with changing daylight. The beauty of the scenery will stand out in contrast to the snow.

General information

We leave Tromsø early in the morning and drive towards Sommarøy (the Summer Island) which is a group of islands in the open sea. On the way along Rystraumen, a strong tidal current, we pass approximately 4000 years old rock carvings.

Within the next half hour we meet Tove, a glass artist. At her studio you will be able to purchase some of her pieces and we will be served Norwegian waffles, coffee and tea. The traditional way to eat waffles in Norway is with brown goat cheese and jam.
The next stop will be Sommarøya, a fishing village close to the Atlantic. Here you can find some of the most romantic white beaches in the region. Along Sør- and Nordfjord we will reach the next valley, Kattfjorddalen. which still reveals traces of the glaciers that formed the valley.
Finally we arrive at Kaldfjord where we turn to the left – towards Ersfjord. This fjord is one of the most famous fjords nearby Tromsø. If we are lucky we will also see sea eagles, reindeers and other birds and animals on the tour. We will have a quick stop for you to take photos of this beautiful landscape.
