Participate in the evening feeding session of our reindeer and enjoy the arctic nature around you. Our location is dark and free of light pollution which makes it a wonderful place to enjoy the starry sky and the northern lights if they show up!
General information
Join our tour to get really close to reindeer! These gentle but curious creatures will come to eat from your hands, and you will get plenty of time to interact with these magical beings. According to Saami people, the northern lights have a sound. Our camp is far away from the city lights and noise, which makes it a perfect spot to enjoy the northern lights. This beautiful phenomenon cannot be predicted though, which makes it extra magical when it happens while you are here!
Now that the reindeers are full and satisfied, it's your turn to have dinner. You will head to the Gamme (modern-traditional Sami hut) for a hot drink and a warm tasty Biddos, our traditional Sami reindeer stew. Inside the Gamme, our guide will tell you more about life in the Arctic, Sami knowledge and culture, and will show you a collection of Sami artifacts and clothing.

About Tromsø Lapland Reindeer Camp
We Sámi are the indigenous people of Scandinavia and have been living and working with reindeers for centuries.
We have countless generations of knowledge and experience of the fascinating and charming creature that has helped us survive life in this cold and extreme nature of the north. The reindeer is the true hero of the Arctic. We would like to invite you to visit our Sámi camp and join us for a genuine and family-friendly reindeer sledding safari with an amazing view of the famous Lyngen Alp mountains. Hopefully you will learn to cherish and respect these curious and furry creatures just like we do! Our expert guides will also tell you about the secrets of surviving life in the Arctic and show you traditional artifacts and treasures from our culture.
