We invite you to join us in a fun varied terrain snowmobile safari there where locals drive. You will be in a small group and get to explore a nature area outside of Tromsø. During our evening tour you might experience northern lights.

General information

This tour is conducted by North Experience.

Upon arrival at Basecamp, we dress in warm winter gear and begin the adventure with safety instructions and a practical demonstration. It is then time to follow our 20 km snowmobiling track that leads you to the snow-covered mountains. We will stop during the trip to take photos and play in the snow. You will drive in pairs with one driver and one passenger per snowmobile and plenty of opportunities to switch places during the two-hour snowmobiling excursion.


After driving back down the trail and parking the snowmobiles, we will serve you a hot meal in a traditional North Norwegian setting around the open fire in a reindeer herder’s tent. After relaxing and warming up, it is time to head back to Tromsø.

Please bring: Your drivers license, warm inner layers and camera

Duration: 4,5 hours + transfer from Tromsø (75 min each way) if you book transfer. You will spend ca 2 hours on the snowmobile

If you book transport from Tromsø:

Departure time and place: 5pm (17:00) Tromsø, outside Radisson Blue (please be there 15 minutes before departure) and arrival at North Experience Basecamp ca. 6:30pm (18:30)

Return to Tromsø: Departure from North Experience Basecamp at 10:30pm (22:30), return to Tromsø around midnight


If you book without transfer:

Meeting time and place: 6:30pm (18:30) at North Experience Basecamp at Hatteng.



Participants must be at least 140 cm. tall.
You must bring a valid drivers license in order to drive the scooter. You don't need a drivers license if you are a passenger.
